Private and group lessons in piano, guitar, bass, and drums, for children and adults, are available in our studio, located on Wythe Creek Rd,, right in "downtown" Poquoson VA. We'll cover various topics including development of music memory skills, theory, ear training, proper finger exercises, sight reading and advanced rhythm techniques. Of course, ENJOYMENT, MUSIC APPRECIATION and HAVING FUN are also part of our program.

In addition to our "hometown" Poquoson and York County students, we have regular students that travel to see us from Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, Smithfield, and Williamsburg.  We also welcome students from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmoutn, and Suffolk.

Lessons will be guided by Doug Norton and his staff. Doug is an accomplished professional keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist with extensive touring, recording, and perfornance experience.  He has been teaching children and adults for over 20 years. Doug realizes that every student has a different journey and tailors his"coaching" to best help them achieve their goals. His lessons are fun, challenging, and tailored to the ability of each individual. Doug's background is in jazz and modern popular music, and so his teaching focuses primarily on modern materials and methods.  Guitar and drum instructors are well-versed in modern teaching materials and methods, and once fundamental skills are developed, they are happy to take you, the student .in whatever direction you desire.

While most of our students opt for a weekly lesson, we realize that some students work, school, or other obligations will not permit this.  We will work with you to create a schedule that will work for you.
